# Contractor Booking Link Placement Checklist

Use this before publishing a booking link in Google Business Profile, QR cards, invoices, social bios, email signatures, service pages, or website CTAs.

## 1. Source

- Traffic source: GBP booking link / QR booking link / invoice booking link / social bio scheduling / email signature / service page / website CTA
- Trade:
- Job type:
- Repeat customer or cold homeowner:
- Emergency, tune-up, inspection, maintenance, quote request, or consultation:

## 2. Booking fit rule

Use a booking link when:

- The service is simple enough to schedule without diagnosis.
- The visitor already sees service area, availability, reviews, and what happens next.
- The office can confirm, reschedule, and qualify the appointment quickly.
- The calendar does not replace a needed quote form, call path, or proof-first service page.

Use a proof-first page or quote form when:

- The job needs photos, scope, pricing context, financing, service-area proof, or project examples.
- The visitor is cold from Google Maps, organic search, a truck QR code, or social bio traffic.
- A bare calendar would create unqualified appointments or missed expectations.

## 3. Placement decisions

| Source | Default rule | Tracking note |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Google Business Profile website button | Service page or website first; booking link only for simple appointment types | Track Maps clicks to qualified booked jobs |
| QR card | Booking for maintenance/repeat visits; proof page for cold scans | Track scan source and booked outcome |
| Invoice | Booking for repeat service or seasonal maintenance | Keep payment and upsell intent separate |
| Social bio | Local profile or website route before calendar when proof is thin | Track bio clicks by destination |
| Service page | Booking CTA after reviews, photos, FAQs, service area, and process context | Track CTA position and qualification rate |

## 4. Follow-up owner

- Calendar owner:
- Confirmation message:
- Failed-booking fallback:
- Callback SLA:
- Next review date:

## 5. Next path

- Website-readiness path if the issue is missing proof, service pages, photos, reviews, FAQs, or quote flow.
- Local-profile route if the issue is lightweight GBP, QR, social, invoice, referral, or review-link routing.
- Scheduling software only after the placement rule, confirmation rule, and qualification path are clear.
